#1 The Bubble Palace

Located in Théoules-sur-mer, on the Mediterranean coast in the Massif de l’Esterel, the Palais Bulles was designed by the Hungarian architect Antti Lovag. It is a 1200 m² bubble house style villa with a thousand portholes. In 1991, the palace was bought by the famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin who enlarged it and made it a reception venue, particularly during the Cannes Film Festival. He exhibits his collection of furniture, art objects and design in this incredible architect’s house.

#2 The Red Wall

Ricardo Bofill, a Spanish architect, created the Muralla Roja in Calp, Spain, a complex of 50 apartments with staircases and common areas in tones ranging from earthy red to pale blue. This group of colorful buildings was built in 1973. It is also an atypical place that fascinates Internet users for its graphic and colorful shapes.

#3 Le Mirror cube

Architects Bolle Tham and Martin Videgard have designed a hotel perched in the trees, but you still have to be able to see it! Made with mirrored exterior walls, the cabin reflects the wooded landscape that surrounds it and naturally integrates into the forest, creating a surprising visual space.

#4 Le Domespace

The rotating house designed by Patrick Marsilli has the particularity of being able to rotate on itself up to 360°. The rotation can be manual or electric. A great idea to enjoy the sun indoors, whatever the time of day. As aesthetic as it is ecological, the Domespace is entirely built in untreated wood. Also, its spherical shape allows it to withstand strong earthquakes and very strong storms.

#5 The Keret House

Located in Warsaw, Poland, it was designed by architect Jakub Szczęsny and measures between 92 and 152 cm wide. A 2-story art installation consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room. The iron structure is installed between a pre-war house and an apartment building. A very limited living space but in which, however, you lack nothing!

#6 The dancing house

Located in Prague, the Dancing House is a contemporary structure made entirely of glass and concrete. Built in 1996 by architects Vlado Milunić and Frank O. Gehry, the Dancing House consists of 2 towers that seem to intertwine with a movement effect. Frank O. Gehry named his towers Fred and Ginger, in homage to the dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Also, this work of art has 7 floors including an art gallery, a hotel and a restaurant.

#7 The cloud house

Australian architects McBride Charles and Ryan have redesigned the ”  cloud house  ” from floor to ceiling! Located in Melbourne, Australia, the cloud house is actually an extension of a traditional house. Divided into 3 parts, it is composed of a living room with rounded shapes opening onto the garden, an airlock providing access to the bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen, and a long entrance worthy of a suburban house. A house where the inhabitants have their heads in the clouds but their feet firmly on the ground!

#8 The House NA

Located in Tokyo, the ”  House NA  ” house was designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. The particularity of this house is that it is entirely made of transparent glass. Steel frames serve as supports for the glass blocks that delimit each different room. There are 21 rooms in total that communicate with each other on a surface area of ​​81m 2  which also corresponds to 3 floors. However, a system of shutters allows to isolate the inhabitants from the outside, at night.

#9 The Nautilus House

It is in Mexico City, Mexico, that the Nautilus house  was designed by architect Javier Senosiain. This house with an organic design in the shape of a shell combines modern architecture and contemporary art. Here, originality is at its peak: grass grows in the living room, the furniture is integrated into the architecture, the windows are multi-colored stained glass and all the rooms communicate with each other. The architect of this Nautilus then defined his style as “Bioarchitecture  ”  .

#10 Earth houses: troglodyte architects’ houses

These organic cave houses located in Dietikon, Switzerland were designed by architect Peter Vetsch, a specialist in ecological and organic houses . This complex is composed of 9 architect-designed houses of different sizes arranged around a watercourse. These residences buried in nature are in perfect symbiosis with their environment and the exposure of each room respects the natural principle of lighting. The bedrooms face north, the living room and living areas face south and the bathrooms are lit by skylights.
